- Nissan’s compact SUV was offered with a choice of two engines - a 1.5-litre petrol, and a 1.3-litre turbo-petrol. The naturally aspirated petrol motor makes 106PS/142Nm and came paired with a 5-speed gearbox. On the other hand, the 1.3-liter turbo-petrol mill engine produced 156PS and 254Nm to make it the most powerful engine option in the Kicks' lineup. Transmission options included a 5-speed manual and a CVT gearbox.
- Passenger safety was ensured by four airbags, ABS with EBD and electronic stability control (ESC).
- We appreciate your choice. Both the cars are good in their own forte. Nissan Kicks is a car for those who are looking for a properly stylish compact SUV. It’s for those who appreciate quality and are either buying an additional smaller (relatively) car for the family or want to upgrade their drive experience from an already premium sub-compact vehicle as the Kicks doesn’t feel big despite being amongst the largest cars in its segment, though its striking youthful design and premium quality interior work in its favour. Tata Nexon, on the other hand, continues to be a sensible small SUV for the family. It does become the default choice if you want space for five and their luggage, and a comfortable ride. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test drive before making the final decision for a better understanding of performance and comfort. - Horrible
- Engineers does not know about nissan cars. Very poor.
- I had a worst experience in my first service itself with Lakshmi Nissan, Chennai. I gave my car brand new to paint the scratches on doors. When I received my car, it was dirty on inside and outside. My complaint of noise in driver window was also not attended. Very very pathetic service and no customer care at all.
- Do not buy Kicks... I have owned one for 2 yrs....; AC compressor had to be replaced in less than 2 yrs. They have some defect... Dealers know about it..
- The ARAI claimed mileage of Nissan Kicks is 14.23 Kmpl. Moreover, for the availability and prices of the spare parts, we'd suggest you connect with the nearest authorized service center. Click on the link and select your desired city for service centers.
- All cars are good enough. Selecting one will totally depend on your requirements and priorities. The Nissan Kicks seems to be doing a lot of things right. Its striking youthful design and premium quality interior work in its favour. It’s got most of the contents to be a great urban SUV, but there are some downsides too. Considering both the pros and cons leads us to the conclusion that the Kicks is a car for those who are looking for a properly stylish compact SUV. It’s for those who appreciate quality and are either buying an additional smaller (relatively) car for the family or want to upgrade their drive experience from an already premium sub-compact vehicle. The Hyundai Creta is clearly an impressive compact SUV. It is spacious, comfortable, loaded with features, easy to drive and offered with powerful petrol and diesel engine options. Even though E is the base variant of the Creta, its features list doesn’t reflect that. It’s decently equipped and if you are on a tight budget and really want the new Creta, the E variant is perfect for you. It’s also good for those looking to do a lot of aftermarket customisation on their new car, especially the music system.Though Maruti XL6 gets rugged SUV-like design, it doesn't compete against any of SUVs directly. It is a 6-seater MPV, it gets captain seats that mean more comfort in the second row which is enough for 6 footers too. The 1.5 petrol is quiet, refined and tractable. Automatic transmission also available in top-end Alpha trim. It would be a great pick if you are lookiing for a spacious 6-seater car for family and majorly drive in city only.Ford EcoSport is a Sub 4-meter compact SUV. The success of the Ford EcoSport can be attributed to its packaging. It offers great engines, good interiors with an appealing design and that very likeable SUVish stance. If you are looking for a fun to drive car with great handelling and rear seat space is not your priority, you may go for it.The Seltos impressed us So much that all we could complain about was a lack of under-thigh support and the rather stiff ride quality. The Kia Seltos’ base variant is equipped with all the necessities. It doesn’t feel lacking in any department and the fact that it undercuts the Creta petrol and is closely priced to the Nissan Kicks makes it a sensible option. If it’s a petrol SUV you’re after, we would suggest you stretch your budget a bit. But for diesel buyers on a tight budget, the HTE variant makes a lot of sense. You may compare all these cars accoridngly. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.
- Both cars are good enough. Both are built on the same platform and share the same engine. However, you get better mileage in Renault Duster. So, if you want better fuel efficiency, you may go for It. On the other hand, Nissan Kicks offers a premium interior quality, it gets higher ground clearance, comparatively better feature list and better safety features too. Do take a test drive in order to get better clarity. Check out authorised dealership details.

4.7Cheap plastics
Initially i planned to buy a creta or seltos after selling my honda city.Didn't have kicks in mind.Test driven both kia and creta. Was not satisfied with cretas suspension and the accident which broke it in to two pieces was hauting me.Fixed creta dct and paid the booking price. It was then i read about kicks.Just decided to test drive it.My goodness. It was a game changing experience. The cvt.No words to say. What a driving experience. The power. The torque. The build quality. All were unmatched the negatives i felt were. The interiors though built classy were not as much attractive compared to seltos or creta.Creta has premium looking interiors made from cheap plastics. The absence of sunroof (inspite i know it's just another gimmick)bothered me a little. But this negatives were nullified in front of kicks performance and ride quality.Immediately canceled creta booking and ordered the kicks.

5.0Compact suv
I had wonderful experience with kicks... Strong built quality, excellent suspension and milage. I am not who is running after electrical features. looking after strong car.. all qualities kicks have. traveled 18k in just 8 months of purchase... covered 1100km in 17hrs without any tiredness. Creta or Kia Seltos may look like huge from outside but feels like sitting in compact SUV from inside. Kicks is big from inside and outside both... Drive it, Experience it and than buy it...
