Mantis Key Highlights

Price: The Orxa Mantis is priced at Rs 3,60,000 (ex-showroom Bengaluru). This price is inclusive of the 1.3kW standard charger, and it is not eligible for FAME 2 subsidy. The booking amount for the electric motorcycle is Rs 10,000 for the first 1,000 customers and for the rest, it will be Rs 25,000. Deliveries for the first batch of the Mantis will start in April 2024 in Bengaluru and then the next batches will start in July 2024 and October 2024. It also comes with a 3 years or 30,000km warranty for the vehicle, battery and the motor.

Features: The Orxa Mantis gets a 5-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation through an app. Other features include phone notifications, ride analytics in the console, all-LED lighting with twin projector LED headlights, regenerative braking, side stand sensor, and ride-by-wire technology. Colour options for the electric motorcycle include Urban Black and Jungle Grey.

Motor: The Orxa Mantis comes equipped with a liquid-cooled motor with a peak power output of 20.5kW and 93Nm of maximum torque. The claimed top speed is 135kmph and it accelerates from 0-100kmph in 8.9 seconds. The electric motorcycle gets a 8.9kWh capacity battery with an IDC claimed range of 221km. The battery can be charged from 0-80% in 5 hours using the standard 1.3kW charger and in 2 hours and 30 minutes using the faster ‘Blitz’ 3.3kW charger.

Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The Orxa Mantis gets an all-aluminium aerospace-grade alloy frame and subframe. The suspension setup consists of a 41mm telescopic fork and a monoshock with preload adjustability. Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front disc with four-piston fixed caliper and a 230mm rear disc with single-piston floating caliper with only a single-channel ABS as standard. It comes equipped with Ceat Zoom radial tyres measuring 110/70-R17 up front and 130/70-R17 at the rear. The Mantis has a wheelbase of 1,450mm, seat height of 815mm, kerb weight of 182kg and a healthy ground clearance of 180mm.

Rivals: The Orxa Mantis’ direct rival is the Ultraviolette F77. If you want something much more affordable with 150cc petrol-powered motorcycle levels of performance, then you can consider the Tork Kratos.
