Even though Yamaha India is calling it a maxi-scooter, the Aerox is more of a sporty scooter that’s halfway between a step-through and a scooter. Powering the Aerox 155 is the R15 v3-derived 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled 4-valve engine, which makes 15PS and 13.9Nm in this guise. It is 3.25PS and 0.3Nm lower than the R15 v3 but that's still enough to make it the most powerful scooter currently in India.
