- Both the bikes are good in their forte. The Honda Unicorn has always been the go-to bike if you were planning to buy a 150cc commuter. The BS6 update has given the bike a larger motor while retaining the dynamics of the older bike. It still remains a well-rounded motorcycle, but the BS6 update has come with a hefty price hike. On the other hand, TVS’ has certainly come back to the 125cc segment with a bang with the Raider. It’s fun to ride, feature-packed, feels rather premium and is well priced too. It is definitely one of the most well-rounded offerings in the 125cc space. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. - Selecting the right bike would depend on several factors such as your budget preference on the segment, features required, engine options, brand preference, etc. The Honda Unicorn has always been the go-to bike if you were planning to buy a 150cc commuter. - No i don't think so
- The 125cc motor powering the Super Splendor is shared with Hero's other 125cc models like the Glamour. With this BS6 update, it has now received fuel injection which should make the BS6 version of the Super Splendor slightly more fuel-efficient than its predecessor. An additional catalytic converter has also been thrown in, as a result of which output is down to 10.88PS and 10.6Nm, compared to the previous 11.28PS and 11Nm. The Super Splendor BS6 now comes equipped with a 5-speed gearbox compared to the BS4 version’s 4-speed unit. This should theoretically result in quicker acceleration AND better fuel economy, but we can’t be sure until we put it through a road test sometime soon.Read more -Hero MotoCorp Rides In The Super Splendor BS6.
