BMW G 310 R Variants

Firstly, the cramped lower body posture means you’re not gonna be comfortable over long distances in the saddle. But more than that, the bigger problem is the vibrations. Unlike the RR310, this G 310 R’s handlebars are rubber mounted, and are decently isolated for the most part. But over a long journey, you do get a tingling sensation in your palms. Yes it is, the upright seating posture don't cause back ache and the performance is good, u can go straight away 300km continuously

Bottom line: The G 310 R is a great bike. The suspension outclasses almost all of the competition, as do the brakes. For a new rider, this bike's intimidation factor is low from the saddle as the riding position is great for a wide range of rider sizes.

Currently, the Honda CB300R is not available for sale in the market and is yet to get a BS6 update. On the other hand, BMW has managed to iron out the majority of the issues that stopped us from wholeheartedly recommending the Bavarian naked. It is a delight to ride in the twisties with enough power on tap to thrill you. It is also more affordable now, which bodes well for its positioning in the market. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision.

I owned a 310 gs. First service cost was 5500 @ 1000 km, second was 8000 rs @ 10000 km, & upcoming third will be around 15000rs @ 20000 km. Done a regular service & chain replacement @ 15000 km for 8000 rs. Now I have to change front fork oil seal and oil with third service, that will cost 3800 rs. I have changed back breakpads twice & front break pad once, that costs me total of 6000 rs. I have spent a total amount of 46300 rs for 20000 km/ for two years as maintenance cost. I think it is a very big amount for a 300 cc single cylinder motorcycle.

Throttle body cleaning- 2100/- Rear Brake pads - 1300/-Chain adjusting - 380/-Spark plug replacemnt - 725/-Clutch cable replacment - 1340/-BMW in the name of quality they cost you a bomb, in my 5 years of experience owning a 310GS, a lovely bike, i hate BMW service centre.The have hired guys who just replaces parts, they have not hired technicians.the worst part is they don't like people servicing their bike themselves.... so when you go to service centre to get the to remove OBD 2 based service reminder they straight up refuses to do so, they will only do when you put your bike for regular service.I understand that machine needs care and regular upkeep and most of the owners are willing and doing so but at what cost? Its based on 310RR all part are made in India Shared between 4 bike across two brands yet this attitude?I used to dream and wanting of having another BMW in my garage but after 5 years of worst after sales experience, no more.

TVS service center will not service the BWM bikes even though the brands are in a partnership and shares there powertrain. Moreover, you may connect with BMW directly and check if they can offer you door step servicing.

The baby beemer is a fine piece of machinery and a reliable one too, however, issues may occur in any machine. In order to know about the door step service, we'd suggest you to connect with the nearest authorized dealership or the brand directly as they would be able to assist you better based on your location. Moreover, smaller issues can be looked after by the local workshops, however, we'd advise you against it and to get your bike serviced/repaired by the authorized personnel only. Also, you can avoid the service centers except for the timely services by taking proper care of your bike.

G 310r has some serious issues which the showroom people will never tell you guys. The main problem is with the battery unit, the battery drain after every 2 months and there is no proper response. So as a owner i will not recommend you to buy this bike
