TVS Apache RR 310 Variants

For the first free servicing i've spend around one thousand rupees, oil changed, etc. Until now i don't have any kind of problem whatsoever except for the fact that the RHS pilot lamp is not working since its around a month old. Its definitely a manufacturing defect, but didn't get any replacements or warranty news from the dealers, even though i've reported it way back. Chains, i've cleaned it regularly myself, no probs till now. I've done around 1600 kms, up and downhill everyday.

You need to learn how to position yourself while driving this bike.. you cant drive this bike unless you understand its dynamics.. once you understood you can go up to 300-400 Kms in a day without any hussle.( I DID Many Times) If someones seating position is not right even 50km will give sever pain and numb palms .. This is Solo tourer sports bike.. if you just need tourer bike..go for Dominar.. I need both so chosen this bike..as I do go on long rides but majority of time I enjoy sporty ride in streets :) there is an article on TVS site on learning how to drive this bike that will really help u to take this bike on long rides.

Service interval like - every 4-5 months you must do service, In Paid service - if all are normal then - approx 3000

Chain lubing after every 500 kms is a must. If you drive sanely, I mean, accelerating the bike in a linear manner, maintaing 70 -80 kmph on empty roads accelerating hard only when you can go the distance, mileage will be around 36-38 kmpl. Apart from these, I don't think there will be any regular maintenance costs. Engine oil change, brake pad change, coolant change are common maintenance things.

It depends on your driving and your regular maintenance. I have just changed my rear chain and sprocket few months ago, and it had been over 8 years, I am using the same old one. Regular maintenance will increase your chain and sprocket life.Brake pads have less life compared to the chain and sprocket, and it depends on your driving condition, if you are driving in city you have used brake often. The service cost is definitely higher for the Ninja 300 as compared to the RR310. However due to localization, the spare parts are affordable. Earlier the cost of the total spare parts available for the Ninja 300 used to be around 2.5 Lakh and now that has been reduced to 50k. The Ninja 300 is always a better option if you can afford for the service cost. The average service cost for the Ninja 300 in Pune is 5.5 - 6 thousand.
