Hero MotoCorp has unveiled 4 new models at EICMA 2024, giving us a glimpse of what the brand has planned for the near future. The new bikes unveiled include, the Hero XPulse 210, the Hero Xtreme 210R and the Hero Karizma XMR 250. All 4 of them could be launched at Hero world 2024. Here’s everything you need to know.
Hero unveiled two bikes based on a new 250cc engine: the Xtreme 250R and the Karizma XMR 250. Both the bikes are powered by a 250cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine which produces 30PS and 25Nm.
The Xtreme 250R is a naked bike and features an aggressive design. It has a sharp sculpted tank and large tank extensions which gives it a muscular look overall. It sports a split seat setup, with a raised tail section that looks quite sharp.
The Karizma XMR 250 is the faired offering based on the new 250cc engine platform. The bike features a similar look and styling as the Karizma XMR 210, but manages to come off as a lot more premium. The front section features racing-inspired winglets which gives it a pretty sporty look.
Both share a lot of parts in common, such as the gold finished inverted fork and monoshock suspension setup. Both bikes get petal discs at both ends.
Overall, these two models look quite premium and offer an upgrade for those who are looking for something that can offer slightly better performance than the Karizma XMR in India. When it comes to the international market, Hero MotoCorp is likely aiming to increase its footprint in Latin America and Europe with these two models.
The Hero XPulse 210 has been a bike we have been waiting for a while, and now that it has been finally unveiled, we know what to expect.
It features a typical dual-sport design, with the raised front fender, overall slim profile and an upswept exhaust. It manages to come off as a more premium model than the currently available XPulse 200 4V.
The bike is powered by the same engine as the Karizma XMR 210, which is a 210cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder motor, but on the XPulse 210 it outputs 24.6PS and 20.7Nm. The bike has likely received changes such as the addition of a larger rear-sprocket to improve bottom-end torque, to make it more off-road friendly.
It features a telescopic fork with 210mm wheel travel and a monoshock with 205mm wheel travel. The bike rolls on a 21-inch front and 18-inch rear wheel, with braking duties being handled by discs at both ends.
The new XPulse gets a 4.2-inch TFT console and features such as switchable ABS at the rear wheel, which will allow for controlled slides, making it a more potent off-roader. Hero is likely going to offer this bike as a replacement for the current XPulse 200 4V Pro, which makes sense as it will allow the brand to retain the XPulse 200 4V as an entry level offering. Whereas the XPulse 210 will be geared towards enthusiasts.
The Hero Vida Z is an upcoming electric scooter, it features a minimalist design and looks more like a family oriented offering. It features a wide seat, with a pillion backrest and also a spacious floorboard judging by the images.
The scooter will offer removable batteries and will come in battery capacities ranging from 2.2kWh to 4.4kWh. The removable battery setup will help decrease range anxiety to a certain extent. The scooter will have features like a TFT console, ability to monitor/track the vehicle’s health, theft alerts, geofencing and vehicle immobilizer. The scooter will also get OTA (over-the-air) updates which will allow owners to update their scooters without having to visit the showroom.
