KTM has taken the wraps off the 2022 390 Adventure, and the bike has received minor tweaks for the coming year. The new set of updates are cosmetic and functional.
For 2022, the KTM Adventure 390 features two traction control modes: Street and Off-road. KTM claims this will adjust the degree of the rear wheel slip according to the terrain. Moreover, unlike the previous model, where the traction control setting would switch to default in case of a crash or stall, the updated system will allow traction control to remain activated for a brief period.
Not just that, even the 5-spoke cast wheels have now been jacked up for better resistance and stiffness. This should help the 2022 390 Adventure take even more beating while off-roading. We still wish KTM had offered optional spoked wheels for the 390 Adventure in its powerparts catalogue.
The 2022 model retains the 373cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder motor producing 43.5PS and 37Nm. Even the features, suspension, and braking hardware have been carried forward.
Last but not least, the bike also gets new paint schemes: orange-blue and orange-black.
The 2022 KTM 390 Adventure will be available globally by January 2022, and its India launch will happen soon after that. It won’t be a surprise if the aforementioned tweaks lead to a slight price hike. Currently, it retails at Rs 3.28 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and competes with the BMW G 310 GS and Royal Enfield Himalayan.
