The 2023 KTM 390 Duke has been spotted on test again, and the detailed spy images give us a clear look at the revised styling of this upcoming KTM bike. Even though this test mule was heavily camouflaged, we now have a clear look of its updated fascia.
The aesthetic of the new revised 390 Duke is now much more in line with the KTM 1290 SuperDuke R. Even the LED headlight now features a sharper design with a flared bezel. This is complemented by longer and more aggressive tank shrouds.
This isn’t the first sighting of 2023 KTM 390 Duke test mules, and we already know from previous spy shots that this bike gets a complete overhaul. Along with all the visual changes, the next-gen Duke is set to get a whole range of mechanical updates, like an updated cast aluminium subframe and an offset monoshock.
It also now borrows the lighter rims and alloy wheels from the KTM RC 390. Interestingly, the test mule has the front disc on the right side, unlike other KTM bikes, which have it on the left side. The engine casing too looks to be different, so we expect a reworked engine with better tractability, refinement and perhaps slightly better performance. For perspective, the current-gen KTM 390 Duke makes 43.5PS and 37Nm. Also expected is smartphone connectivity with navigation, as the current TFT display feels a tad outdated.
It’s clear that the 390 Duke is all set for a massive upgrade, and the 2023 iteration is expected to be priced at a premium over the current bike. The current 390 Duke is priced at Rs 2,96,230 (ex-showroom Delhi), and the next-gen bike may slot in the Rs 3.4-lakh range by the time it is launched in India.
