We recently reviewed the KTM 390 Adventure Spoke Wheel (SW) and you guys had a few questions about the SW variant, so here, we answer these questions. Also if you haven’t yet, then the watch the review below:
I have a query, in video it was mentioned the suspension is setup for rider 75-90, will this be a problem for heavy riders or accompanying pillion with heavy weights?
In the review video, Ishan mentions that the stock suspension setup on the 390 Adventure SW, out of the factory, is suitable for riders between 75-90kg. Now this setting could be a bit on the softer side for heavier riders, however, you can always change your suspension settings to suit you better – that’s exactly what the adjustable suspension is for.
Any option to change spoke wheels to alloys? Because I love rally colour and suspension but the tube tyres is a problem for me
Technically, you can go to the KTM service centre and get the alloy wheels installed on the SW fully adjustable variant. However, there is a possibility that it may affect the warranty of the bike and components. So we suggest you confirm it with your nearest service centre once.
Is there any option of alloy wheels with adjustable suspensions??
There is an option available to retrofit the adjustable suspension on your standard KTM 390 Adventure or on the Adventure X officially. That said, doing so nullifies your bike’s warranty. Head here for more details on the same.
Any improvement on engine vibration /
What about the vibration...did you feel the vibration while going above 110Kmph
The engine on the KTM 390 Adventure SW is the exact same as the standard variant, devoid of any changes. So similar to the standard 390 ADV, there’s a noticeable judder at around 3000rpm and a mild buzz still exists at the levers. After the 6000rpm mark, you might feel a small tingle at the footpegs as well.
Is there a tubeless upgrade option available?
Oem or 3rd party will do.
Currently, KTM does not offer tubeless spoke rims for the 390 Adventure, however, there is a possibility that KTM might bring those next year. That said, third party options for tubeless spoke wheels are available too, however, they won’t come cheap and will certainly affect your bike’s warranty. Apart from that, it is essential to check out these third party offerings for the perfect fit so as to not compromise on the safety and performance of the bikes.
Do you have any more questions about the KTM 390 Adventure Spoke Wheels or the X variant? Let us know in the comments and we shall answer it for you. Also, don’t forget to check out our review of the bike here.
