Visually differentiating between it, the 250 Duke and the 390 Duke is now harder

Just a week after we reported it, the updated KTM 200 Duke has now begun reaching dealerships.

As is visible, the bike gets a big LED headlight slashed by a heat sink going through its middle. This is the same unit as we’ve seen on the 250 Duke and 390 Duke, meaning differentiating between the three is even harder now. That said, a proper glance will help you differentiate the 390 Duke from the other two. Above the LED headlight on that bike, is a big TFT, while the other two get a smaller LCD console.

The OBD-2 compliant, E20-compatible 199.5cc liquid-cooled engine hasn’t been altered and it still makes 25PS and 19.3Nm. Despite not getting any significant engine changes in the past 11 years, it’s impressive that this motor is still the most powerful 200cc one in India.

Underpinnings too, have remained unchanged. There’s an inverted fork along with a monoshock. This Duke rolls on 17-inch alloys wrapped with MRF rubber. Braking is taken care of by a 320mm disc at the front and 230mm one at the rear.

Our sources have revealed that this little but useful update should charge a premium of around Rs 4000-5,000 over the current 200 Duke, which costs Rs 1,92,845 (ex-showroom Delhi). So yes, while the 200 Duke might not sound as much of a value-for-money as it once was. But this addition makes the bike look a little more premium than before.
