Once again the 2023 KTM 390 Duke has been spotted testing, this time around in Pune, close to Bajaj’s Chakan manufacturing plant. While this particular test mule was under camouflage, the bike was also recently spotted in a completely production ready avatar.
With the new generational update, the 390 Duke has gotten sharper and more aggressive than ever. It is also more muscular than its siblings, and the longer, sharper fuel tank extensions make the bike even more attractive. Even the rear end is redesigned.
Hardware has witnessed a major overhaul, from the frame to the suspension and even the brakes which are borrowed from the new KTM RC 390. Not to forget the engine, that’s supposed to have been upped to 399cc now. Head here for all the details on the hardware and the new engine.
KTM is likely to unveil the new gen Duke at EICMA 2023, and we expect the 390 Duke to launch in India just post that in November or December 2023. However, the global launch could happen sometime next year (early 2024, most likely), on the 30th anniversary of the KTM Duke (the original Duke 620 was launched back in 1994).
Expect the next-gen 390 Duke to flaunt a price tag of around Rs 3.20 lakh, nearly Rs 20-25k more than the current gen streetfighter, priced at Rs 2.96 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
