It gets the same 210cc liquid-cooled engine from the Karizma XMR, and could be a replacement for the current XPulse 200 4V.

Spotted Testing

Quick Highlights

  • Gets the 210cc liquid-cooled engine from the Karizma XMR

  • Will likely replace the XPulse 200 4V

  • Launch Expected Early 2025

The upcoming Hero XPulse 210 has been spotted testing, and it looks quite bigger than the current XPulse 200 4V. The biggest change in this XPulse is the 210cc liquid-cooled engine from the Karizma XMR 210. Maybe Hero should call it the Karipulse!

While some may tell you that this is the Hero XPulse 400, here’s why it is instead the XPulse 210.

Comparing the engine casing with the one on The Centennial (which is essentially the Karizma XMR with reduced bodywork), we can clearly see the similarities – clutch cover, cylinder design, and liquid-cooling plumbing, which has been slightly tweaked.

In the Hero Karizma 210, the engine makes 25.5PS at 9250rpm and 20.4Nm at 7250rpm. However, Hero could tweak engine mapping, gearing, and/or sprocketing to make the powertrain more suitable for off-roading and adventure style of the bike.

Coming soon

In terms of equipment, we can see the XPulse 210 gets a long-travel telescopic fork, not an inverted fork, like the current Hero XPulse 200 4V, a taller fuel tank, box-section swing arm, and spoked wheels, which should have tubed tyres. Disc brakes look quite similarly sized as the ones on the current XPulse: 276mm on the front, 220mm on the rear. The rear suspension on this XPulse is clearly a linked-type monoshock.

Apart from that, the new bike has been spotted with hard panniers, suggesting Hero MotoCorp could offer them as official accessories, along with pannier mounts. That also suggests that the bike is probably also being tested for its touring worthiness, not just off-roading. Other features that can be spotted are an LED headlight, a taller windscreen, a digital instrument cluster, a single-piece seat, and a tail rack.

Design-wise, the XPulse 210 looks similar to the current XPulse, just bigger. Also the exhaust positioning seems to be the same, high-slung as before, which should allow for better water wading capability. However, the ground clearance seems to be lesser but that’s something that can be confirmed if we can see an unloaded, parked bike.

The new XPulse 210 is expected to launch in early 2025, and could be priced somewhere around Rs 1.9 lakh (ex-showroom). For reference, the XPulse 200 4V is priced from Rs 1,47,391, while the Karizma XMR at Rs 1,79,900 (ex-showroom).

So what about the Hero XPulse 400 Launch?

All said, a bigger XPulse 400 could still be on its way, but that’s highly unlikely to be based on the air-oil-cooled 440 platform, since that engine makes about 27PS, which is not a whole lot more over the 210 or even the 200 4V.  If Hero wants the XPulse 400 to be really able to take on its rivals, its engine would have to be liquid-cooled so that it can make close to 40PS and 35-40Nm, which is sort of a segment benchmark.
