These spy shots revealed a few new interesting details

The end-of-the-week news headlines are going to be dominated by the launch of Royal Enfield’s latest motorcycle, the 2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350. But, before that, we have more interesting news about the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which has been spied again at what looks like a dealer yard.

The upcoming Royal Enfield bike looks well-finished, and production-ready. We already know some of the details spotted in these pictures such as the beak-like fender, sleek body panels, stubby exhaust, and split-seat setup among others. The disc rotor design looks similar to that of the current Himalayan, but we hope that the upcoming Himalayan 450 comes with better braking, possibly with a bigger rotor and sintered pads. We also noted that it’ll get a curved radiator, which should provide more efficient cooling.

Also visible are the Ceat block-pattern tyres with a different tread design, likely to have been specially developed for this bike. Another small but important detail to note is the forward-facing red button on the right side of the handlebar. It might be for switching the ABS, making it more versatile off-road. On the other hand, the forward-facing button on the left switchgear is likely for navigating through the menu on the console. And yes, it will come with navigation, possibly turn-by-turn type. Also visible in these spy shots is the round TFT instrument console, which was also spied more than a couple of months ago. You can also see the oil lines going into the inverted fork.

We’ll get to ride the Himalayan 450 towards the end of October 2023 in Manali. The exhaust note sounds throaty and unsurprisingly, it does not have the laidback sound of the current Royal Enfield Himalayan. Check out the exhaust note here. The upcoming bike will have a trellis frame, which is a first for a Royal Enfield bike, and it will get a ton of touring accessories, which were revealed when it was spied at the start of August 2023. Even the manufacturer released a teaser about two months ago, which you can check out here.

The upcoming Himalayan 450 will be powered by an all-new 450cc liquid-cooled engine (again a first for the manufacturer). It is expected to be launched in this year’s Rider Mania, to be held between November 24-26. It might fetch a price tag of around the Rs 2.8 lakh (ex-showroom) mark and will rival the KTM 390 Adventure (spoke wheel variant) and the upcoming Hero XPulse 400
