The highly-anticipated 2024 KTM 390 Duke was launched in India a couple of days ago and it's got everything we expected and more. We were already excited about its India launch ever since it was unveiled a few weeks ago. But how is the Indian-spec model different from the international-spec model? Let’s take a look here:
First of all, the Indian-spec KTM 390 Duke makes 46PS, which is 1.14PS more power than the international-spec bike’s 44.86PS.
The international-spec model gets a standard seat height of 820mm, while a shorter 800mm seat is available as an option. On the other hand, in India, the 800mm seat comes as standard whereas the 820mm seat is available as optional.
In terms of weight, the international-spec 390 Duke weighs 165kg (without fuel) while the Indian-spec model gets a kerb weight of 168kg. Also, in India, the bike comes with Metzeler M5 H rated tyres while abroad, it comes equipped with Michelin radial tyres.
KTM has priced the 2024 390 Duke very competitively at Rs Rs 3,10,520 (ex-showroom), which is only Rs 13,045 more than the outgoing model. Its rivals are the BMW G 310 R, Apache RTR 310, Triumph Speed 400, QJ Motor SRK 400 and the Bajaj Dominar 400.
