KTM is set to introduce the new traction control modes and the UI upgrade that debuted in the 2022 KTM 390 Adventure to its older-gen ADV soon. The Austrian bikemaker launched the 2022 390 Adventure back in May this year. The 2022 model featured stronger wheels and was updated with two traction control modes, along with new colour schemes and a revised UI layout in the instrument cluster. The new initiative should ensure the previous-generation 390 Adventure owners aren’t left out.
As per our sources, the software update will arrive in about 2-4 weeks, and interested customers will just have to head to their nearest KTM dealerships to get the ‘ABS software Hex file’ flashed. Updating the software will add two traction control modes–Street and Offroad – just as they are in the 2022 model.
Additionally, the instrument cluster’s user interface will also be updated to the 2022 model’s. KTM has a nice history of providing software upgrades to existing owners for free, so expect the upcoming update to be free as well. If you’re an owner of the older-generation KTM 390 Adventure, we’d advise you to head to the nearest KTM dealership for the details.
Notable rivals to the KTM 390 Adventure include the Royal Enfield Himalayan, BMW G 310 GS and the Yezdi Adventure.
