In the current landscape of exciting motorcycles, and a fantastically wide range of new bikes to choose from, the upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan 452 is truly one of the more anticipated ones. And we now know some fascinating new details of the ADV – including colour options, console and switchgear details – ahead of its official launch.
First up, the colours and design. The multiple teasers and leaked images have already conveyed that the Adventure bike looks rugged, muscular and ready to off-road. In simpler terms, it looks hot. But the latest leaked images reveal the three stunning colour schemes the bike will be available in.
One of the colour schemes truly belongs in the Himalayas with a darker ceramic white shade, decorated with a grey livery. It will slightly remind you of the Dune Brown colour scheme on the Himalayan 411, but of course, in grey.
The second one takes a slightly sportier approach with a gloss grey shade, complemented by red graphics on the fuel tank, side panels and stripes on the wheels. Lastly, for the riders who like all things flashy, there is a gloss black paint scheme with loud golden graphics as well as fully golden spoke rims. All three colours flaunt a stealthy black finish to the engine and other components.
Now, sure, the colours are really attractive, but there are some more interesting details about the bike as well. You see, YouTuber Itchy Boots got to take the pre-production Himalayan 452 on a trip to Ladakh.
Now in the video, we get a clear visual of the console and it is a massive upgrade for Royal Enfield. The TFT unit gets a really clean layout, and even gets integrated GoogleMaps-powered full-fledged navigation! Phew, that would make for a really useful feature on your adventures.
The switchgear on the Himalayan 452 is brand new and looks quite premium as well. It flaunts Himalayan branding on the rotary-style switch cubes, and gets a dedicated button on the left to control the console, and another on the right, likely to toggle the cruise control.

One last bit, the ADV rolls on Ceat Gripp dual-purpose tyres, wrapped on what seem to be 21-/18-inch spoke rims. While these spoke wheels most likely feature tubed tyres, we can’t rule out the possibility that they could be tubeless. We will find out soon enough.
The Himalayan 452 is powered by a 451.65cc, liquid-cooled engine that’ll produce 40PS at 8000rpm, and weighs 196kg, which is a massive change from what the current bike offers. Summing up, spirits are already high in anticipation of the bike and the teasers, reveals, and leaks are adding fuel to the fire.
The Himalayan 452 is all set to be launched on November 7, 2023, and will give tough competition to the KTM 390 Adventure and the upcoming Hero XPulse 400.
