Royal Enfield will kickstart its 2022 onslaught by launching the new Himalayan Scram 411 today. Most of you might already know by now that the Scram 411 isn’t an all-new motorcycle but more of a variant of the Himalayan. It’s pegged to be the most affordable ADV from Royal Enfield, but by exactly how much? That’s the real question, the answer to which we shall find out in the afternoon.
Yesterday, we ran a poll on the ZigWheels Instagram page asking our followers what according to them would be the pricing of the new Scram 411, and here’s what you said:
Expected pricing |
Instagram Poll results |
Rs 1.90 lakh |
31% |
Rs 2.00 lakh |
28% |
Above Rs 2.00 lakh |
41% |
As you can see, most of you feel that the RE Scram 411 would be priced above Rs 2 lakh (ex-showroom), which in our opinion is fair, really, as the Royal Enfield Himalayan retails from Rs 2.14-2.22 lakh (ex-showroom). However, we think it would help the bikemaker get all the attention it needs if it priced the bike under Rs 2 lakh, at least as introductory. The second-most popular poll result was around Rs 1.90 lakh, which looks difficult, but not impossible.
Will RE spring a surprise with the pricing of the Scram 411? We’re only a couple of hours away from the price announcement, so stick around for all the updates. Also, we have ridden the new Scram 411, so make sure you follow the ZigWheels website to know our take on Royal Enfield’s latest ADV motorcycle.
