Yamaha has updated the FZ-S FI V4 for 2023 with a bunch of new tech, but how does it compare with the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V in terms of features. Read on to find out.
First up, the updated FZ-S FI V4 features a revised multi-function LCD console with Y-Connect and Bluetooth connectivity.
On the other hand, the TVS Apache RTR 160 boasts of a more premium digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and TVS’ SmartXonnect with voice assist. It also gets turn-by-turn navigation, gear position indicator and shift assist, call and notification alerts, race telemetry and lap timer mode.
While the FZ flaunts a new traction control system, the Apache comes packed with three different ride modes – Sport, Urban and Rain, which change power output, throttle response and ABS calibration.
Both get LED headlight and taillight units, but only the FZ features LED turn indicators, while the Apache makes do with the bulb ones.
Both streetfighters get discs at both ends and single channel ABS.
Interestingly, the FZ can now run on E20 blend fuel i.e. 20% ethanol and 80% petrol, whereas the Apache can only run on E10 blend petrol.
Both bikes come packed with interesting features, but at the end, it comes down to the price. The FZ-S FI costs Rs 1,27,400, and Apache RTR 160 is priced at Rs 1,24,590, ex-showroom Delhi.
