The Yamaha MT-15 received a much-needed update in the form of the Version 2.0 iteration launched last month. Along with a fairly substantial premium, the 155cc naked bike also received a whole bunch of functional as well as aesthetic upgrades. If you’re planning to buy one, here’s how long you have to wait in these seven major cities of India:
City |
Yamaha MT-15 Version 2.0 Waiting Period |
Delhi |
30-45 days |
Mumbai |
1 month |
Chennai |
45 days |
Kolkata |
6 weeks |
Bengaluru |
1 month |
Pune |
45 days |
Hyderabad |
6 weeks |
These are approximate timelines, and the exact duration of the wait depends on the colour variant you choose, and the inventory level of the dealership you purchase from. The updated iteration finally gets a gold-finished inverted fork up front, and also a premium aluminium swingarm, both borrowed from the Yamaha R15 V4. It even features a new bluetooth-enabled LCD instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. That said, the company still hasn’t given the bike turn-by-turn navigation. Even the power is down by 0.1PS (18.4PS), but the torque is up by 0.2Nm (14.1Nm).
If you’re looking to buy its faired sibling, the Yamaha R15 V4, check out the latest waiting period here. In a related development, the Yamaha Neo’s electric scooter will be the Japanese bikemaker’s first electric scooter for the country, and you can read all about it in our exclusive report here.
