Yamaha India has issued a voluntary recall of over 3,00,000 units of the Yamaha RayZR 125 Fi Hybrid and Yamaha Fascino 125 Fi Hybrid manufactured between January 1, 2022 and January 4, 2024.
Yamaha has stated on its website that the defect is related to the functioning of the brake lever.

Yamaha has said that the affected parts will be replaced free of cost. To check whether your RayZR 125 Fi or Fascino 125 Fi is among those 3,00,000 scooters affected, you have to go to the ‘Service’ on the manufacturer’s website, click on ‘Scooter 125 Voluntary Recall’ and enter your vehicle’s chassis number or call at 1800 4201 600 between 9:30am to 6pm from Monday to Friday. If your scooter is one of the affected ones, we urge you to get an appointment with your nearest dealer and sort out the issue as any problems with braking might potentially be dangerous. It is also Yamaha’s biggest recall yet, in the Indian market.
