KTM Kits The 390 Adventure With Spoke Wheels Finally!

Relate adventure to a motorcycle, and you’d think of one having an imposing road presence, long travel suspension and swanky wire-spoke rims. The KTM 390 Adventure somewhat met these parameters, sans the wire-spoke rims. Not anymore though, as the brand has rolled out a new SW variant with spoke wheels, in its 2023 iteration of the 390 Adventure.

The spokes on the 390 Adventure SW sit within black-anodized aluminium rims with a diameter of 19 inches and 17 inches at the front and rear, respectively, that said we would’ve loved to see a 21-/17-inch setup. Additionally this variant also gets an updated colour scheme, with the trellis frame and bodywork getting the orange treatment, coupled with KTM’s ‘racing livery’. 

The 390 Adventure continues to be powered by the same 373cc single-cylinder engine producing 43.5PS and 37Nm. Other features include a ride-by-wire throttle, traction control, cornering ABS, an ‘offroad’ riding mode to allow for rear wheel slip while reducing ABS intervention, and a five-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity.

Underpinnings too remain the same as the earlier iteration, however, unlike the Indian-spec model, this bike gets a WP Apex suspension with rebound, compression, and preload adjustability.

The standard variant of the 2023 390 Adventure is priced at GBP 6,299 (around Rs 6.35 lakh), while the spoke wheel variant of the bike retails at GBP 6,699 (approximately Rs 6.75 lakh). While this is a steep premium for what is essentially spoke wheels, do not expect such a differential once the bike is launched in India, likely to happen soon.
