Porsche CEO recently made a statement that the second generation Panamera will be launched in the second half of 2016. The 2016 Porsche Panamera has already been spotted testing on several occasions and more details have been revealed each time. The second generation of the Panamera will be based on the new rear-drive and all-wheel drive platform that they have christened MSB. In fact the German car maker will also be introducing a new family of V6 and V8 petrol engines that they will later plunk into other models.
As far as design is concerned, the new Panamera will be based on the new styling introduce in the latest 991 series of the 911. The new materials that will be used will help ensure that the kerb weight is in check even after the increase in overall dimensions. Attention will also be paid to the exterior styling which will be aimed at enhancing the overall appeal. Aside from the engine and the exterior styling, the interiors too will be redesigned. The steering wheel will be similar to the current Porsche design but the centre console though appears a lot sleeker.
The 2016 Porsche Panamera will first be introduced in the European markets in the second half of 2016 and will then make it to Indian shore in the first quarter of 2017.
