The TVS Apache RR 310 is set to receive yet another set of updates. The flagship sportbike, the launch for which has been delayed to later this month due to the rise in COVID-19 cases, is expected to carry a price premium of Rs 5,000-Rs 6,000 over the 2020 model. With every edition, the Apache has gotten better and we hope the same is in store for the 2021 model.

So, what updates will it get? For starters, the tyres will be locally sourced. The 2021 Apache RR 310 will most likely run on TVS Protorq Extreme radials that were being tested on the one-make championship racers. Currently, it is rather difficult to source Michelin Road 5 rubber due to several restrictions on imported tyres. While the Road 5s were superb, we think the Protorq Extremes will be up to the task, especially on the RR 310 which doesn’t lay down a lot of torque in a frantic manner.

We expect some more changes to the internals of the 313cc BMW-engineered motor. With the last update, TVS introduced ride-by-wire and four riding modes. Hopefully, the modes are better defined now. Also, more performance is always welcome.

The biggest change that we anticipate on the 2021 RR 310 is the introduction of a preload-adjustable front USD fork. TVS gave a similar update to the RTR 200 4V, which has improved the handling of the 200cc bike to a certain extent. Now, one can tune the front suspension to their body weight and riding style to get the best out of the bike.

Other small new features such as span-adjustable levers and one-make championship-inspired graphics are welcome additions.
