Getting the product lineup to meet the BS6 emission norms has been the major agenda for two-wheeler brands this past week, as we received a plethora of information on new BS6 products. Now, we have just received the specifications of the Bajaj Pulsar 220F BS6 and the Bajaj Pulsar 180F BS6. Prices of the bikes were revealed this past week and we are glad to report that not much has changed on the bikes in the transition to BS6.

On the iconic Pulsar 220F, the addition of fuel injection as well as adherence to BS6 has caused a minor drop in power. The 220cc fuel-injected motor produces 20.39PS, a drop of 0.54PS from the BS4 carb motor. While we do not know about the change in weight of the bike, other dimensions like the wheelbase, length, width or height are the same.

Power has not changed on the smaller of the two Pulsars in question, the 178.6cc single-cylinder engine still making the same 17.02PS. The dimensions are more or less the same with the wheelbase now 5mm longer, which should hardly make a difference to the riding dynamics of the motorcycle.
