The XPulse 200 4V’s first official teaser is out ahead of its imminent launch

Last week, images of the upcoming Hero XPulse 200 4V surfaced on the internet. Now the bikemaker has officially teased the ADV on its social media, hinting that the launch is around the corner.

The bike in the teaser video sported the Maxxis tyres which are a part of the Rally Kit, confirming our speculation that the XPulse 200 4V with the Rally Kit could be sold as a separate new variant. A couple of images leaked from Hero MotoCorp’s dealer event showcased the XPulse 200 4V. Along with the updated engine, the XPulse will also get new colours and updated switchgear with an integrated starter and kill switch.

The Hero XPulse 200 on sale currently gets a 199.5cc, air- and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine with a 2-valve configuration. With the 4-valve configuration, the ADV is likely to be more refined, and could possibly produce 20PS, a 2PS bump from the current model.

With the XPulse 200 getting a 4-valve configuration, its siblings -- the XPulse 200T and the Xtreme 200S -- too shall receive the update. In fact, a test mule of the latter motorcycle was spotted recently. Just like with the XPulse 200, the test mule of the Xtreme 200S sported only a new dual-tone colour scheme.

The Hero XPulse 200 and the Xtreme 200S are likely to be launched around the festive season and carry a premium of Rs 6,000 over the current model. The bikemaker recently hiked the prices of all its products, so we reckon the updated models aren’t likely to demand a steep premium.
