Last month, Hero MotoCorp announced its intentions to hike the prices of its scooters and bikes from January 2021. Now, the Indian two-wheeler giant has officially updated the pricing of its models, including the Xtreme 160R, Xtreme 200S and the XPulse 200.
Hero’s foray into the premium 160cc segment started with the Hero Xtreme 160R, which was priced at Rs. 1.02 lakh for the single disc variant and Rs. 1.05 lakh (both ex-showroom Delhi) for the dual disc variant. Now, the updated prices are Rs. 1,03,900 and Rs. 1,06,950 respectively.

The Hero Xtreme 200S, on the other hand, has received a price hike of Rs. 1,499. The bike now costs Rs. 1,17,214 (ex-showroom Delhi). The bike continues to be powered by the same 199.6cc engine producing 18PS and 16.4Nm. The XPulse 200 too is now pricier by Rs. 1,500 and costs Rs. 1,15,230.
Hero has attributed the spike in prices across the range to the increasing material costs owing to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the brand is offering exchange benefits of upto Rs. 4,000 for a limited period. Like Hero, Bajaj too has revised the pricing of the KTM and Husqvarna range for the second time in the last one month.
Here’s how the new prices compare to the old ones:
