KTM RC 200 Just Got A Little More Oomph

The KTM RC 200 is one of the sportiest-looking mid-capacity supersport motorcycles in the country for those who are on a budget. Though the white and orange colour combination amplified its athletic design, there was scope of a stealthier version. And KTM has done just that: launched a black variant with orange and white MotoGP-inspired livery. The white colour version will continue to be on sale alongside the black one. And irrespective of the colour, the RC 200 will continue to retail for Rs 1,77,638 (ex-showroom Delhi). The new colour variant is available at all the 430 exclusive KTM showrooms in 320 cities across the country. There are no changes to the powertrain or the mechanicals. The 199.5cc single-cylinder DOHC liquid-cooled engine produces 25PS of power and 19.2Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. There is no ABS in this variant either and it continues to rival the Bajaj Pulsar RS200, which gets a single-channel unit as an option. Here’s KTM’s official word on the new colour variant:

KTM introduces Black Color Variant for RC 200

Supersport motorcycle draws on KTM’s MotoGP experience; Available across 430 exclusive KTM showrooms in 320 cities

20th June 2018, Pune - KTM introduces an all-new black color variant for its Supersport model RC 200. The new variant is in addition to the already existing White color variant.

The KTM RC 200 is powered by a state-of-the-art, liquid-cooled DOHC engine delivering best-in-class 25 Ps power and 19.2 Nm of torque. KTM’s MotoGP genes are evident in the steel trellis frame, aluminum swingarm and its sporty bodywork. Premium components such as Upside Down (USD) front forks, multifunctional digital console and clip-on handlebars make the RC 200 a complete package for ambitious racers.

Speaking on the occasion Amit Nandi - President (Probiking), Bajaj Auto Ltd. said “The KTM RCs are race-bred machines. The RC 200 constitutes a significant part of the KTM portfolio and it is only fair that we broaden the choice for our customers with the addition of a new Black colour option".

Sales of the KTM RC 200 have begun across the 430 exclusive KTM showrooms in 320 cities. Ex-Showroom price (New Delhi) for both Black and White variant is Rs. 1,77,638.
