In just a few days, EICMA 2016 will commence and KTM is going to unveil the new KTM 200 and 390 Duke. Just a couple of weeks back, the elder sibling of the Duke was spotted testing and recently, the 2017 200 Duke was snapped completely camouflaged while testing on the roads. Here is a list of what is new in this upcoming naked 200cc bike.

The 2017 KTM 200 Duke will be featuring a lot of new things, such as new brake levers and new master cylinder. The key slot will now be integrated into the front edge of the tank rather than on or ahead of the handlebar. There are RC-style grab rails which will now be mounted on the plastic of the rear cowl, an all-new subframe that is now bolted to the main frame, new instrument console, a white front mudguard instead of the orange one, and a reshaped pillion seat.

Just like the 390 Duke, the 200 Duke will also be getting a side-slung exhaust, which is clearly visible in the spy shots. The reason is that all Euro-IV compliant motorcycles need more exhaust volume and cannot be tucked neatly under the engine anymore, and the 200 will be BS-IV compliant when launched.

We have scarce details about the engine, but it will be powered by the same 200cc motor, but with more refinement and power, to keeping its performance competitive. The Indian KTMs might also get ride-by-wire like the Euro-IV-compliant ones. Now, let's wait and watch what more KTM has to offer when the bikes are finally unveiled.
