Land Rover has launched the long-wheelbase Range Rover Evoque in China. Called the Evoque L, the SUV is tailored for the East Asian country where rear legroom is a top priority. The SUV also gets extra features inside to step up the in-cabin experience.
At 4,531mm, the Evoque L is longer than the standard model by 160mm. Land Rover has yet to reveal the Evoque L’s wheelbase; however, it is claimed to have 125mm extra rear legroom. With an electrically adjustable rear backrest, which is exclusive to the Evoque L, occupants can now afford more comfortable seating.
The SUV gets three new colour options: Belvia Green with Narvik Black roof, Seoul Pearl Silver with Santorini Black roof, and Seoul Pearl Silver with Rossello Red Roof.
Apart from that, the design and features are pretty similar to the standard model in India. The only difference is that the infotainment system runs on Land Rover’s InControl OS 2.0 instead of the more sophisticated Pivi Pro unit here in India. Learn more about the Evoque here.
The Evoque L is available in the sportier-looking R-Dynamic trim powered by a 249PS 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine. The SUV drives all four wheels via a 9-speed automatic transmission.
The Evoque L is priced from 375,800 Yuan (Rs 43.36 lakh approx*). It locks horns with the Mercedes-Benz GLC, BMW X3, and the upcoming facelifted Audi Q5.
