With the dust finally settling after EICMA 2019, we have some time to catch our breath and bring you all the important happenings from the show, as well as some interesting domestic news too. Here’s everything that went down over the last 7 days:
KTM 390 Adventure Finally Arrives
Yes, after all the hype and the waiting, KTM finally unveiled its 390 Adventure at EICMA 2019. It uses the same powertrain as the 390 Duke but has some key differences in other areas. Honda Gives Us A New Fireblade
Honda has finally given its Fireblade the massive revamp we always wanted. With this new CBR 1000RR-R, Honda has ripped past the 200PS barrier, and we can't wait to see this new bike take to the track in WSBK next year. To know all about the new 'Blade, head here.
Aprilia Unveils Its Middleweight Sportsbike
After showing the RS 660 as a concept at last year's EICMA, Aprilia finally unveiled a production version this year. The bike's 660cc parallel-twin motor is essentially the RSV4's engine chopped in half. Aprilia has also given the bike a comprehensive IMU-assisted electronics package, unlike anything seen before in this displacement range. To learn all about the RS 660, read here.
Hero Unveils An Xtreme Concept
Hero brought us a new concept at EICMA 2019, in the form of the Xtreme 1.R. This bike gives us an indication of what upcoming Xtremes could be like, and we must say that the future looks bright. The concept bike is aggressively styled and features a USD fork, an oil-cooled fuel-injected motor and even slick tyres! To read all about it, head here.
Hero's First BS6-Compliant Motorcycle
Closer to home, Hero launched its first BS6-compliant motorcycle in the form of the Splendor iSmart. The bike gets an all new 113.2cc motor which is Hero's first fuel-injected unit to get i3S stop-start technology. The frame is new as well, but the bike has received a price hike.
