TVS Apache Bikes Receive A Notable Price Hike

TVS Motor’s Apache bikes are well known for offering an unmatched price-to-feature ratio in their respective segments. However, this factor has taken a slight hit with the Hosur-based bikemaker hiking prices by up to Rs 5,000. Here’s a model-wise breakdown:

The Apache RTR 160s see the smallest price revision across the lineup, of Rs 3,000. While TVS has made no attempts to justify the hike, we think the increment has been made to boost revenue since the Apaches were the highest selling bikes between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 2 lakh in June.

The worst-hit of the lot is the flagship Apache RR 310. However, even with a hike of Rs 5,000, the RR 310 undercuts its arch-rival, the KTM RC 390, by Rs 22,000. Moreover, with the RR 310 set to receive its yearly update, this hike would help TVS keep the price difference between the new and old models in check.

All in all, we feel these hikes wouldn’t really hinder any purchasing plans since the bikes still bear a competitive price, even after the revision.
