Pros and Cons
- Positives
- Negatives
- Improved performance means this is the quickest bike in its segment
- brakes feel sharp and predictable
- adjustable suspension handles bad road well even in its stock setting
- lower seat height should make it more accessible to shorter riders
- feels super light on its feet and agile when changing directions
- you can barely feel any engine heat
- even in bumper to bumper traffic and motor has become a lot smoother than before.
- More affordable and comfortable than the R15 V4
- Variable Valve Actuation ensures the engine has enough grunt for everyday situations
- Standard rear radial tyre
- with optional grippy Metzelers
- Some of the panel gaps are a little too pronounced
- H-rated Metzeler tyres feel a little squiggly when pushing the bike hard and the signature KTM orange colour option looks too garish in this model.
- Fit and finish levels could have been better
- The LED headlight isn’t bright enough and fails to illuminate the road properly

- It's Simple Yamaha R15 V3 is best in Chennai City
- The R15 has always had a singular focus. Performance. That leads to compromise in other aspects like ergonomics. Its sporty riding position comes courtesy of an 815mm high rider seat (up by 15mm over the v2). Despite the taller seat, we did not have an issue placing both feet on the ground. The riding position has become more aggressive and while it worked well on the track, riding in the city for an extended period did leave a minor discomfort in our wrists and upper back. Other than the clip-on, which now feels lower, the low-set footpegs are comfortable and the rest of the bike too didn't give us any reason to complain. You do need to be careful while taking U-turns though as the bars come pretty close to the fuel tank, and your hand getting too close to your knee during full lock does cause some issues. Especially on right-hand U-turns, it’s rather difficult to open the throttle as your wrist is resting on the tank at full lock. On the other hand, the Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X has been discontinued and is not available for sale in the market. Moreover, we would suggest you take a test ride for a better understanding of performance and riding comfort. - You may have to tip-toe the bike while moving the bike around in the parking lot or in stop-and-go traffic. Moreover
- As per your requirements, we would suggest you to go with the Bajaj Dominar 250. The sports tourer offers a seat height of 800mm which is fairly accessible, however, you may have to tip-toe the bike while moving the bike around in the parking lot or in stop-and-go traffic. Moreover, we would suggest you to take a test ride before making the final decision. Follow the link and select your desired city for dealership details.
- Yamaha offers the YZF R15 V3 in one variant and four paint schemes: Metallic Red, Racing Blue, Thunder Grey, and Dark Knight.
