The Bajaj Pulsar F250 was recently updated with a new LCD instrument console and Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. But for a similar price tag of Rs 1,50,829 (ex-showroom Delhi), there are lot of other options to consider if you don’t quite the fancy the Pulsar F250:
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is arguably the best 200cc streetfighter on sale, according to us. It offers exciting performance with a wide powerband and good bottom-end grunt that makes it a hoot to ride in the city. And that growling exhaust adds an extra bit of fun to the whole experience. Also, it comes loaded with features such as Bluetooth connectivity for call and SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. The cherry on top will be the preload adjustable front suspension which allows riders of all sizes to adjust the suspension according to their requirements.
The Bajaj Avenger 220 Cruise has remained unchanged for some time now and doesn’t come with features like smartphone connectivity, which is seen on most bikes these days. But if you are looking for a simple cruiser under 300cc and in this price point (it is the only one on sale under 300cc), then the Avenger 220 Cruise is a good option as it offers smooth, linear power delivery with a slick gearbox and good mid-range performance making it suitable for relaxed highway cruising.
The Bajaj Chetak Premium, launched at the start of the year, gets a 3.2kWh capacity battery, an ARAI-certified range of 127km and a top speed of 73kmph. The recently updated electric scooter gets a new 5-inch TFT instrument console and features like turn-by-turn navigation, music control, call alerts and display themes. If you are looking for a good commuter EV, you can consider the Chetak Premium.

The best entry-level supersport bike in the market, the Yamaha R15S is powered by a 155cc, liquid-cooled engine producing 18.4PS at 10000rpm and 14.2Nm at 7500rpm. Despite being a high-revving engine, it gets good bottom-end grunt, making it a fun bike for commuting in the city. With its excellent handling capabilities, it is also great for some spirited riding through twisty mountain roads.
The Hero Xpulse 200 4V Pro is a great entry-level off-roader with a punchy engine, good bottom-end performance and long travel suspension that will allow you to go anywhere, irrespective of whether there’s a road or not. The 891mm seat height will take sometime to get used to if you are new to off-road motorcycles, but once you do get used to it, you’ll realize that the bike will take care of all your off-road needs while being a good all-rounder with good commuting and touring capabilities.
