This week has been dominated by EICMA 2023 with quite a few Indian manufacturers showcasing their latest offerings in Milan. Here’s a lowdown on all that went down this week.
At EICMA 2023, Royal Enfield unveiled its first-ever electric motorcycle, the Electric Himalayan Testbed. The electric ADV looks rugged and as the name suggests, is a testbed for Royal Enfield’s future EV offerings.
Also showcased in Milan was the all-new Himalayan 450. More importantly, the manufacturer also revealed that the bike will be launched towards the end of this month.

Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Xoom 160 maxi-scooter and the Xoom 125 while announcing that the Vida V1 Pro will be available in the UK and Europe soon. Also showcased were a few concepts such as the 2.5R Xtunt, a liquid-cooled stunt bike, The Lynx which is an electric dirtbike and Acro, an electric off-roader for kids. Ultraviolette showcased its capabilities to the world by unveiling the madcap Ultraviolette F99 Factory Racing Program. It gets a liquid-cooled powertrain producing a peak output of 90kW and a top speed of 265kmph! And oh, it gets active aerodynamics too!
Also, the EV maker announced that the Ultraviolette F77 will be available in Europe very soon.
Honda unveiled its updated 2024 500cc lineup at EICMA 2023. That includes the CB500 Hornet, NX500 and the CBR500R. The CB500 Hornet and NX500 replaces the CB500F and CB500X from the manufacturer’s lineup, respectively.
