Quick News Highlights:

- TVS has teased a Black Edition variant of the NTorq 125

- The new variant is expected to get an all-black treatment

- The rest of the scooter is likely to remain unchanged mechanically

TVS Motor Company has been updating its lineup with colour schemes this year, the latest one being the Black Editions of the TVS Apache RTR 160 2V and TVS Apache RTR 160 4V. Now, the Hosur-based manufacturer has teased another such variant of the NTorq 125.

The images and the messaging on the teaser suggests that the TVS NTorq 125 is set to receive a Black Edition of its own. If that’s the case, then the sporty scooter will get an all-black treatment across the body. Expect the headlight cowl, front apron, side panels, tail section and the exhaust to be completely blacked-out with ‘NTorq’ lettering on the tail section to be painted in white. As was the case with the 160cc bikes, the Black Edition of the scooter is likely to be based on the Disc variant that comes with a 220mm front disc brake and a 130mm rear drum brake. This variant is priced at Rs 89,841 (ex-showroom Delhi) and the Black Edition model is expected to cost the same. The new variant will likely be launched in the coming weeks.

Currently, the NTorq 125 is available in 6 variants: Drum, Race Edition, Disc, Super Squad Edition, Race XP and XT. It is powered by a 124.8cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 9.51PS and 10.6Nm, while in the Race XP variant, the motor produces 10.2PS and 10.9Nm. Its rivals are the Honda Dio 125, Suzuki Avenis, Yamaha RayZR 125 and Aprilia SR 125.
