Spruced up Benelli TRK 502X Launched In China

Benelli has launched the new models of the TRK 502 and TRK 502X in China. Both ADVs receive a bunch of updates including new colour options, updated hardware and electronics. Interestingly, despite the upgrades, the ADVs are reportedly retailed for the same price, which is CNY 35,800 (Rs 4.19 lakh) for the TRK 502 and CNY 40,800 (Rs 4.74 lakh) for the 502X.

The 2022 Benelli TRK 502 duo now comes with a new full-colour TFT instrument console. With the new cluster, the bikes now flaunt tyre pressure monitors and even heated grips, but still lack phone connectivity and navigation. Furthermore, the Itali-Chinese bikemaker has even updated the swingarm of the bike, replacing the steel tube unit with a new aluminium alloy one which has cut the weight by 3.6kg. Lastly, the 502X now gets tubeless wire-spoked rims instead of the tubed ones seen on the India-spec bike.

While the new Benelli TRK 502 bikes get a bunch of updates, the company has chosen not to equip the bike with features like traction control. 

The updated Benelli TRK twins feature the same 500cc, liquid-cooled, parallel twin motor producing 47.5PS and 46Nm. Even the suspension and braking setup are exactly the same as before. Benelli has made no changes to these ADVs aesthetically, but has now offered the 502X in three new colour schemes.

The Benelli TRK 502 retails for Rs 5.32 lakh and Rs 5.42 lakh, depending on the paint scheme you choose, while the TRK 502X demands Rs 5.79 lakh or Rs 5.89 lakh as per the colour options (all prices ex-showroom India). If and when the new models arrive on our shores, expect the price to go up by a few thousand rupees. For now, its direct rival in our market is only the Honda CB500X.
