Royal Enfield has launched the tubeless spoke wheel and rally seat for the Himalayan 450
The Tubeless spoke wheels are priced at Rs 12,424 & rally seat at Rs 4,950
More accessories like mirrors, seats, panniers and more can be opted for
The Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 is a very capable adventure bike, from taking it for long highway stints to some off-road trails too. Since the Himalayan 450 is equipped with spoke wheels, on these adventures a rider is worried about one thing the most and that is having a puncture. Royal Enfield has now launched the tubeless spoke wheels, priced at Rs 12,424 for a pair of front and rear wheels, and a rally seat at Rs 4,950 for the Himalayan 450.
Tubeless spoke wheels for the Himalayan 450 are a game changer but how, you ask? The Himalayan 450 is an adventure bike which means it will go through a variety of terrains, in this case, spoke wheels offer more strength and flexibility compared to alloy wheels. Having said this, spoke wheels are fitted with tube tyres which means you might get stranded because of a puncture, which is not the case for tubeless alloy wheels.
Tubeless spoke wheels combine the benefits of traditional spoke wheels with the convenience of tubeless tyres. Repairing a puncture on a tubeless tyre setup is easier and the job is done rather quickly.
The tubeless spoke wheels are available for new and current owners of the Himalayan 450. The tubeless spoke wheels can be opted as an optional accessory through the ‘Make it Yours’ (MiY) or purchased as ‘Genuine Motorcycle Accessories’ (GMA). The price of a new Himalayan 450 equipped with tubeless spoke wheels starts from Rs 2,96,000 (ex-showroom). Existing owners can purchase it from a Royal Enfield dealership at Rs 12,424 from October 3, 2024.
The rally seat for the Himalayan 450 is a must-have for off-road riders. It is taller and flatter than the stock seat and improves riding posture, which is crucial when tackling rough terrain. The rally seat allows for better control and easier movement by offering a closer seating position to the handlebar. The rider’s position on the bike while riding off-road is crucial, whether sitting or standing on the footpegs.
Currently, the rally seat is not listed on the Royal Enfield website. However, its sale has been started by dealerships around the country.
Royal Enfield offers a long list of accessories for the ADV bike, allowing riders to choose based on their preferences. These include a pair of machined aluminium touring mirrors for Rs 6,850 and an adventure windshield for Rs 3,450, which is taller than the stock one.
In addition to the rally seat, other types of seats are also offered, such as adventure seats, which are more padded and can be selected individually for the rider and pillion. The rider's seat costs Rs 3,115, while the pillion seat is priced at Rs 2,765. For riders who find the Himalayan tall and heavy, a low-seat option is also available.
A range of luggage solutions is available too, including panniers priced at Rs 29,900, which can be mounted on the pannier rack, priced at Rs 3,950. The panniers come in Black and Silver. You can also opt for the top box, priced at Rs 23,250, which pairs with the top box mount, available for Rs 2,450.
