The facelifted India-bound Discovery, globally unveiled in November 2020, has been listed on Land Rover’s official website ahead of its launch in the coming months. The SUV will be offered in four variants: Standard, S, SE, and HSE. A sportier R Dynamic trim will also be on offer, but only limited to the top-spec S, SE, and HSE.
Design updates on the outside are subtle. The DRLs are in a ‘U’ pattern, while the grille resembles that on the facelifted Discovery Sport. All in all, the profile is similar to the pre-facelift model, except for the new alloy wheels that come in 20, 21, and 22 inches.

The tail lamps have been redesigned, and there’s a black plastic element for contrast above the number plate housing. Topping off the design are the new front and rear bumpers. The sportier R Dynamic trim also packs contrasting black elements.
Inside, the basic dashboard layout is reminiscent of the existing model, but Land Rover has spruced it up with updated tech and minor design changes. The steering wheel seems to have been lifted from the Defender, while the rotary gear knob is now stubby. The SUV’s digital dials lend it a modern and up-to-the-minute look.

The primary highlight has to be JLR’s new 11.4-inch Pivi Pro infotainment system, which features connected car tech and is claimed to be faster and smoother than before. Take a look at the new infotainment system and the Discovery’s updated features here.
Land Rover will provide the India-spec Discovery with three engine options: two petrol and one diesel. All three are all-wheel drives and will likely come with a 48v mild hybrid system. Take a look at the specifications in the table below:
