With the first quarter of 2021 coming to an end, Hero Motocorp has decided to hike the prices of its entire range of motorcycles and scooters by up to Rs 2,500. The new prices will be effective from April 1. As of now, the prices remain unchanged. No mechanical updates will be made to any of the models.
Hero says it has bumped up prices to offset the commodity costs. The brand also claims to have accelerated its cost-savings programme to minimise the price hike effect on the customer’s end.
While the increment will range up to Rs 2,500, it will vary depending on the model as well as the location. In other news, the brand recently launched the Hero Destini, Pleasure Plus, and Maestro Edge 110 scooters in the Million Edition.
For the month of February, Hero’s and the segment’s most sold motorcycle was the Splendor with a record of 2,47,422 units. The brand’s most sold scooter in the same month was the Pleasure Plus with 23,106 units moved.
