It seems like Hero MotoCorp has finally heard the masses and is set to bring the XPulse 200, which should be a better all-rounder. The bike will arrive with a 4-valve configuration that should improve its engine performance and breathability. The updated bike has already been spotted testing and here’s what you should know:
Currently, the XPulse 200 is powered by a 199.6cc single-cylinder oil-cooled 2-valve motor. It manages to develop 18.08PS and 16.45Nm. However, the overall performance isn’t adequate for highway runs. So, the bikemaker is likely to update it with a 4-valve setup. This should help the engine feed more air and fuel, thereby providing decent gains.
Apart from the colour, everything on the test mule looks the same as the current-gen model. It appears to use the same long travel gaitered fork and the adjustable monoshock. Braking setup too has been retained.
Hero has recently hiked the prices for the XPulse 200 from Rs 1,20,800 to Rs 1,23,150. Expect the updated model to bear a premium and cost around Rs 1.30 lakh (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). Diwali seems like the perfect timing to launch the XPulse 200 with more firepower.
