We believe Honda’s new anti-theft security system could make its way on to its popular products by the end of the month
(Update: Honda has launched the H-Smart variant of the Activa 6G. All details in our launch story.)
Honda’s 2023 kicks off in a smart and secure manner with the launch of the ‘H-Smart’ tech on January 23. What exactly is H-Smart? Something like Hero’s iSmart idle stop/start tech? Nope.

We did some digging around and found out that the Japanese bikemaker has been working on a security system for its two-wheelers. This anti-theft feature could be a scaled-down version of the Honda Ignition Security System (or HISS for short) that is present on its two-wheelers like the CBR650R, CB650R, CRF1100L Africa Twin and other premium offerings.
This would actually be a neat little tech that might just protect your hard-earned Activa 6G, Shine 125, Unicorn or even the CB350 H’ness from potential theft. And guessing by the name, it could very well be some form of connected tech that gives you alerts on your phone as well as the option to shut the two-wheeler if it does get stolen.
Whatever be the case, we should be hearing more from Honda soon.
