I think so. A GT 650 was my first motorcycle and I really like it. I’m also 6’ tall so I can stand on both feet when stopped, which helps the stability at lights and in town. It’s a lot of fun, and I’ve been riding with friends who own harleys that now want one of what I have (even though mine is 2000$ cheaper than their iron 883’s). I’ve been on a couple highway trips, going at 80-85 for about 1.5 hours with a pillion rider, bike handled it great. If you’re a shorter rider, get comfortable on something with a lower seat height, otherwise, if you like the GT 650 go for it man. If you’re worried about it being “too much bike”, check out CSC’s San Gabriel 400, it’s a little cheaper, makes 3/4 as much horsepower, and it’s a little smaller.

Depends on the beginner. Everyone is different so some won't have any issues with it, for others they won't be be able to hold it up.. It just depends.

I dnt think so. if you are very new to biking better avoid RE bikes. go for lightweight and more nimble options.
