Ask any custom bike maker about a bike that would serve as a perfect base for a custom motorcycle and the answer is bound to be a Royal Enfield. In fact, the company does run a sweet custom-bike programme across the globe on its own, from which it seems to have conjured up some stonkingly beautiful sets of wheels.
Well, here’s one such example of a stunning custom bike, built not by the marque, but by Taiwanese custom house Rough Crafts, that began life as a Royal Enfield Continental GT 650. From the overall aesthetic, to the stance of the bike, everything is just mesmerising.
To begin with, the carbon-fibre bodywork is minimal, however, it has an OCD-satisfying flow to it. This is accentuated by gold pinstripe work that oozes premiumness. The tank still retains the same distinctive shape, but dons a bigger cover. The rear seat is swapped out for a sharp, yet classy tail.
This custom bike even gets Ohlins inverted fork and a monoshock, along with five-spoke alloys wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Superbike SC2 slick tyres. Even the braking hardware is massively upgraded, with twin front discs having Beringer callipers and a bigger rear disc too.
The 648cc twin cylinder mill is now paired to a twin SC Project full system exhaust that looks like it came from a MotoGP bike. It also gets an aftermarket air filter. Well with all these mods made to the engine, expect the overall power output to be higher than the stock 47.6PS and 52Nm.
All the above-mentioned changes result in a bike that is simply alluring. And with Royal Enfield already working on a plethora of new bikes based on the current 350cc J-series, the 650cc platform and the new 450cc series, would you like to see the marque bring out a more premium cafe racer like this one?
