Jawa has just launched its 2024 model range of the bobber lineup. As part of the updates for 2024, the Jawa Perak gets a new dual-tone variant and is priced at Rs 2,13,187 (same price as before), and the Jawa 42 Bobber’s already existing Moonstone White variant is now priced at Rs 2,09,500 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi). Also, the 42 Bobber gets two new variants: Mystic Copper and Jasper Red Dual Tone with diamond cut alloy wheels straight from the factory.
Part of the manufacturer’s Heritage line, the Jawa Perak’s new matte Black/matte Grey dual-tone variant gets brass tank badging and quilted tan seat for an authentic old-school look. Other key changes in the bobber include repositioned footpegs, forward-set by 155mm (same as that of the 42 Bobber), a re-tuned 7-step preload adjustable monoshock for better damping, and the 334cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine now producing 29.9PS at 7500rpm and 30Nm at 5500rpm, which is 0.74PS and 2.74Nm less than the previous model.
As for Jawa’s Modern Classic lineup, the 42 Bobber has now become cheaper. Here’s the complete price list of the 42 Bobber and its variants:

While the updates to the ergonomics and suspension are welcome, we’d have liked it if Jawa had also repositioned the instrument cluster for better readability, and a more info-packed digital inset.
The 42 Bobber’s two new variants are alloy-wheel versions of the Mystic Cooper and Jasper Red Dual Tone variants. The Mystic Copper Alloy Wheel variant is Rs 6,500 more expensive than the spoked wheel variant. If already-existing customers of the Mystic Copper Spoke Wheel variant want to get the alloy wheels fitted onto their bikes, then that’ll cost them Rs 14,000.
Apart from the addition of the alloy wheel variants and the changes in pricing, we would’ve appreciated if Jawa had made the 42 Bobber’s engine more refined on top of improving the overall fit and finish levels.

Last year, Jawa-Yezdi Motorcycles added the Black Mirror variant to the 42 Bobber’s lineup, with a flashy chrome fuel tank and blacked-out components. Both the Jawa Perak and the 42 Bobber are the only bobbers in the segment and they have no direct rivals. However, their closest alternatives include the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Honda CB350, Yezdi Roadster and Keeway V302C.
