The teaser also indicates that it has been designed by TVS and will not be a rebadged BMW G 310 R

TVS is launching their new sporty e-scooter tomorrow and a few weeks after that, the Apache RTR 310 will be launched on September 6. Adding to its anticipation, the manufacturer has released another teaser of the upcoming motorcycle.

In this one, the rear-end of the motorcycle is visible clearly. It has a split-seat setup with sharp design elements around it. Also, the coordinates shown in the teaser point towards TVS’ factory in Hosur. This along with the clay model shown being sculpted, point towards the fact that the upcoming naked streetfighter will be designed and developed by TVS and will not just be a rebadged BMW G 310 R.

Based on the recent spy shots, we already know that the Apache RTR 310 will get adjustable levers, single-piece handlebar, rear-set footpegs and a slightly sporty riding stance. From when it was spied for the first time, we know that the motorcycle will get a muscular fuel tank with tank extensions, which can also be seen in the latest teaser. It will be based on the 310cc platform shared by TVS and BMW Motorrad

In another instance, we got to know that it will get a floating licence plate holder and rear indicators like the one on the Apache RR 310, BMW G 310 R and the BMW G 310 GS. It’ll most likely get a non-adjustable upside-down (USD) fork and a preload-adjustable monoshock suspension setup. The engine on the motorcycle will be the same 312.7cc, reverse inclined, single-cylinder engine that produces 34PS and 27.3Nm in the Apache RR 310. So, it is expected that TVS will re-tune the engine to suit Apache RTR 310 310’s streetfighter character. Also, the RR 310 gets four riding modes: Track, Urban, Rain and Sport. So, they are expected to be carried over to the RTR 310 as well.

The Apache RTR 310 is expected to command a price tag of Rs 2.5 lakh (ex-showroom) and its rivals will be the KTM 390 Duke, Triumph Speed 400, BMW G 310 R, Keeway K300N and the Honda CB300R.
