Beast Key Highlights
Price: Available in a single variant, the Joy E-Bike Beast is offered in two colours – Green and Grey. In both options, the electric motorcycle is priced at Rs 2,42,000/- (ex-showroom, Bengaluru).
Features: The Joy E-Bike Beast gets dual LED headlamps, LED indicators and tail light. The full LCD instrument console is pretty basic with just the speedometer, odometer, tripmeter readings, apart from the range and battery level.
Motor: The Joy E-Bike Beast is powered by a 5kW hub motor that produces a peak torque output of 230Nm at the wheel. It comes with a claimed top speed of 90kmph and a climbing ability of 18 degrees. There are two riding modes on offer - Eco and Power. The Joy E-Bike Beast is offered with a 72V-72Ah lithium-ion battery pack providing a claimed range of 110km. It takes 9 hours for a full charge from zero percent.
Suspension, Brakes & Other Details: The Joy E-Bike Beast comes with a telescopic fork setup and a box-section swingarm with monoshock at the rear. The Joy E-Bike Beast rides on a 110-section rubber up front and a 140-section rear tyre, both tubeless, and wrapped on 17-inch alloy wheels. The bike has dual discs at the front (a bit of an overkill, if you ask us) and a single disc at the rear. The seat height of the Joy E-Bike Beast is 770mm and the ground clearance is 160mm. It weighs 115kg kerb, and gets a 150kg loading capacity.
Rivals: The direct rivals of the Joy E-Bike Beast are other entry-level electric motorcycles like Oben Rorr, and the Revolt RV400.
Range: Beast can go upto 110 km/charge after a full charge.
Charging Time: Beast battery takes 9 Hr to get charged.

The Beast has a running cost of Rs. 0.31 per kilometer. Additionally, the monthly charging cost for the Beast is Rs. 465. This cost is calculated based on charging the vehicle at a rate of 6.5/ units of electricity and assuming a daily run of 50 kilometers.
